Case study — scope honesty, applied to us
We ran VORN's own diagnosis on VORN.
The same six-subsystem read a client gets, pointed at our own business — including the parts that aren't fixed yet. No fictional client, no anonymized logo. This one's just us.
"Diagnose before prescribing" is one of the four values on our About page. It only means something if it also applies to us. So this is that — VORN's own commercial system, scored subsystem by subsystem, the same way it would be for anyone who books a Revenue Constraint Diagnostic call with us.
Portfolio
The ladder swung from a flat software subscription back to five consulting rungs — a free Diagnostic call up through Strategic Advisory — inside of a year. That's not indecision so much as the diagnosis correcting itself in public: a subscription can't clear its own acquisition math with zero paying customers behind it; engagement-based consulting can.
What's live now is the ladder this page's own Services link describes: the Revenue Opportunity Audit as the flagship one-time engagement, the Positioning & Audience Sprint and Launch Strategy Sprint as narrower trigger-specific follow-ons, Strategic Advisory as the standing relationship, and Expert Hours for one 60-minute call a month on demand.
Offer
Every tier on the ladder is positioned as generic commercial-systems consulting — a description a dozen other consultants could also use.
What's actually differentiated: it's delivered by someone who treats the six subsystems as one connected system, not six separate specialties handed to six different people. That's the offer — one person, one system, one throughline from diagnosis to execution.
Price
Every tier's price is set on internal reasoning about what the work is worth — not on live market testing, because there's no paying client yet to test it against.
That's an honest gap for where the business is. Real engagements will correct it faster than more internal reasoning would.
Channel
There is exactly one channel right now: this website, with zero paid distribution running.
A modest ad budget doesn't pay for itself against a five-figure engagement at this stage. The channel that's actually available at this budget is content that demonstrates the method directly — this page is the first one.
Demand
No structured demand-generation has run yet.
What's changing: instead of buying attention, spend it — publish the diagnosis in public, the same way a client's would be delivered, so the first real conversations come from people who've already watched the thinking work.
Signal
There's no live client yet, so there's no invoice or call log to read anything meaningful into.
The honest signal right now isn't a dashboard number. It's whether this page gets a single real reply.
The constraint
If VORN had to name its own likely constraint the way it names one for a client: Demand.
Not Portfolio, not Price — the six-subsystem shape is sound, and the ladder is priced sensibly for solo-consultant delivery. What's missing is a real, repeatable way for the right person to actually hear about it. That's the subsystem this page exists to work on.
